Dr. Keisha Rose Harrison is a recent graduate of Oregon State University’s Food Microbiology and Fermentation Sciences program, earning her doctorate in 2023. Her research focus has been in the field of kombucha microbiology, with a focus on developing a simpler approach to the kombucha starter culture. Prior to her work on kombucha, Dr. Harrison spent four years working in the Children’s Nutrition Research Center at the Texas Medical Research Center. She is currently involved in writing and consulting on kombucha microbiology. With her expertise and dedication to the field, Dr. Harrison is poised to make valuable contributions to the field of kombucha microbiology.
