KTonic was conceived through the vision of Greg Goodman who wanted to return kombucha to the functional and healthy beverage it was always meant to be. Starting out as a homebrewer in 2008, Greg noticed a growing trend in kombucha where improper fermentation was masked by fructose as the basis of flavor profiles, versus a showcase of medicinal and healing tea, herbs, flowers and botanicals. KTonic Kombucha was launched in 2015 as one of the first all-tea, single fermented beverages in 2015 with brother-in-law Bryan Schmitz who understood the mechanics of beer brewing and the production process. KTonic has since grown to serve the Austin and surrounding Texas market and will be distributed in the southwest region of the US starting in 2022.
